Tyler
is a commercial litigator who joined Danielson, Harrigan, Leyh
& Tollefson LLP in April 2008.
Before
moving to Seattle, Tyler practiced in the Trial Practice Group
in the Silicon Valley and Washington, D.C. offices of Jones Day.
Over his career, he has represented a broad range of clients in
state and federal courts. His practice has encompassed a diverse
range of matters on behalf of both defendants and plaintiffs,
including shareholder derivative suits, complex commercial litigation,
securities class actions, corporate takeover disputes, and defending
complex product liability actions.
Tyler
brings particular experience to matters involving corporate internal
investigations. He has been part of teams that conducted corporate
internal investigations and responses to government investigations
on behalf of both Audit Committees and compliance departments.
In connection with these efforts, Tyler has presented investigation
results to Boards of Directors, outside auditors, and governmental
agencies.
Tyler
has also advised clients on the creation and implementation of
e-commerce business plans, document retention policies, data acquisition
and transfer compliance, and strategies relating to the preservation
and production of electronically stored information.
Tyler worked for the U.S. Department of Justice in the American
Embassy during his second year of law school, which he spent in
Notre Dame's Concannon Programme of International Law in London,
England.
Prior
to attending law school, Tyler spent two years as an Americorps
volunteer, teaching middle school in Pensacola, FL and working
as a full-time residential staff member at a homeless shelter
in Phoenix, AZ.
